Description	View of State Street looking towards Main Street. The sidewalk on the north side of the street is torn up. Boards and wooden steps lead to doorways of buildings and businesses. Blocks of stone and rubble are in the street. A man who appears to be African-American stands in the entrance of the nearest building. Another man wears overalls. Striped awnings are on some buildings. Utility poles line the street.The building in the distance is the Post Office. Signs read: "Lodging / House" "150 / Westphal / Leaf / Tobacco" "Â…Haas / Leaf / Tobacco." Inscribed on back: "State St. obstructions / remove by St. rd. in / 1908."
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. William Westphal, a tobacco dealer, was located at 150 State Street. L.B. Haas & Co., leaf tobacco dealers, were located at 152 State Street.
