Description	Canoes are on the sandy shore and in the water in the foreground. They are decorated with designs that are supposed to be Native American. The men in the canoes are dressed in costumes, including feathers, tights and jerseys that are supposed to be Native American. Pleasure boats, including sailboats and launches, some dressed with signal flags, are near the East Hartford shore. A crowd of spectators is in the right background. Policemen on horseback and a hound dog are nearby. Bunting decorates a building in the background.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. The Bulkeley Bridge opened to trolley traffic on December 8, 1907 and to the general public on December 21, 1907. The dedication of the bridge was the occasion of a three-day celebration on October 6, 7, and 8, 1908.
