Description	High voltage power lines strung between electrical towers cross the Connecticut River. The Charter Oak Bridge is immediately behind the power lines, reflected in the river. The Hartford skyline with the domes of the Aetna Insurance Company, the Connecticut State Capitol, the onion dome of the Colt Firearms factory and Travelers tower is visible in the background. It is twilight; the sky and water are still light but the foreground is dark. The Aetna and Capitol domes are illuminated and there are streetlights in the foreground and additional lights along the highway and the shore of the river. Inscribed on back: "May 1949 / Hartford from south Meadow station, Mercury turbine room Gr121' ""
