Description	Large group of employees, mostly men, pose on and around a large brick industrial building. Some men stand on ladders, some on exterior stairs, and some on the roof. Some sit on windowsills or lean out windows. Most wear hats and aprons. Some have beards or mustaches. Three women and a girl are on the roof. A square tower with round-arched windows and brackets beneath the roof is on the left. A wagon drawn by two horses is at its base. A board fence separates the dirt road in front of the factory from a field or meadow full of daisies or black-eyed Susans. Inscribed on back: "Rubber Hose Factory / Sandy Hook Ct."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>The New York Belting and Packing Co. in Sandy Hook was described in 1881 as the "largest institution in the world" engaged in the manufacture of vulcanized rubber fabrics. They made bands and belts for running machinery, including elevators, hoses for fire engines and gardens, heavy steam and brewers hose, as well as matting, mats and cushions for billiard tables. <br>
