Description	A bronze statue of a man in military uniform mounted on a horse and holding a sword in his right hand is on a stone base that reads: "Lafayette." The statue is in the middle of a grassy traffic island. A road sign reads: "South / Conn 9." A traffic light is on the street corner. The brick and concrete building with an Ionic portico in the background is the Horace Bushnell Memorial Hall. The marble building on the left houses The Orient Insurance Company. At the far left is The Phoenix Insurance Company building, made of white limestone and red brick. Leafless trees are in front of the buildings.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. The Horace Bushnell Memorial Hall, designed by Corbett, Harrison, Helme and MacMurray, was erected in 1930 to serve as Hartford's principal concert hall and public auditorium. The Orient Insurance Company, designed by Davis & Brooks, was erected in 1905. The Phoenix Insurance Company, designed by Morris & O'Connor, was erected in 1917.
