Description	Three-story brick commercial building with a gambrel roof. A sign over the storefront reads: "Stoves. John C. McManus. Furnaces." A smaller sign reads: "J.C. McManus & Sons." Stoves and furnaces are displayed in the shop windows. A sign over an alley at the right reads: "Tin, Copp[er].. / & Sheet Iron W[orks]" An automobile is parked near a utility pole at the left.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. The Amos Bull house, constructed in 1788, now (2001) houses the Connecticut Historical Commission. Amos Bull, the first owner, sold dry goods on the ground floor and conducted a school in the house before selling it in 1841. John C. McManus established his business on Main Street, Hartford in 1869. The address appears as 344-350 Main Street at various times.
