Description	Brick building in high Victorian Gothic style has gables, a tower, dormer windows, windows with pointed arches, a bay window and a conservatory. Some of the leafless trees appear to be elms. An iron fence and a sidewalk are in the foreground. Inscribed on back: "Home built by Major James Goodwin / and occupied after his death by his / oldest son Mr. James J. Goodwin. The latter's / widow Mrs. Sarah Lippincott Goodwin lived there / the remainder of her lifetime. It was torn / down in 1940. The house stood in the corner Northeast of Woodland Street & Asylum Street & Asylum Avenue. It faced / Woodland Street." "This picture was taken by Mrs. Walter Clark / and given by her to Ada Louise & Mary Curtin Taylor / January 12th 1941."
