Description	Frame house with louvered shutters and a brick foundation is partially concealed by large trees. Steps with banister railings lead to an entry porch at the left. The flowering shrub at the corner of the building appears to be a hydrangea or lilac. A utility pole, a picket fence, and three stone hitching posts are in the foreground. Inscribed on back: "The Jonathan Goodwin Mansion on the Albany / turnpike northside. Built before the / 'Revolutionary War' was headquarters for the stage lines / before railroads came in. In the barns attached to this were / at one time soldiers quartered during the war (Revolution). / Great droves of horses & mules were brought here to find a / purchaser & they were mostly shipped to the West Indies."
