Description	Rows of men in military uniforms pose in front of a gazebo in Central Park. All wear caps. Some hold rifles. Some have mustaches. One man holds a bugle. Two hold drums. A man with a beard holds a sword. A small boy sits on the railing of the gazebo. Horse-drawn carriages and wagons are in the dirt street. Some commercial buildings have awnings. Signs read: "Book Store" "Boot & Shoe Store." The steeples of the First Baptist Church and Centre Church are visible." Inscribed on back: "This picture was taken / May the 11th 1861 / at New Britain / Conn. / Henry Schultz [?]"<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>Troops are probably part of the Third Connecticut Volunteers. Several companies of this regiment mustered in on May 11, 1861. They fought in the Battle of Bull Run and mustered out on August 12, 1861. <br>
