Description	Two story Greek revival style home with central pavilion and iron balcony. Two side wings flank the central part of the house with Doric piers and columns on the porches. In the center of the porch facing High Street, there is a reproduction figurine of a grisaille original in one of the niches.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Alsop House at 301 High Street in Middletown was built in 1838-1840, by Richard Alsop IV, and remained in the Alsop family until 1948 when it was purchased by Wesleyan University. In 1952, the Davison Art Center was established in a wing of Alsop House. It was restored in 1950 as an example of pre-Civil War period architecture.
