Description	View of Wolcottville, the principal village of Torrington, from the Hartford Turnpike. A covered wagon travels down the main road, which is lined by a Virginia rail fence and later houses and possibly one of the four stores or two taverns. A post office is labeled to the left of the road near a large 3-story brick building used as a house of worship for various denominations. Just behind the house of worship one can see the "Litchfield turnpike" leading over the hills. The large brick building with the spire is a woolen factory. A small "stream" is shown to the right of town and some tree species are noted.<br>
