Description	Four-story frame hotel building and other frame structures line a dirt street. The hotel has porches on all four floors, louvered shutters at some windows and brick chimneys. A chair and a bench are on the ground floor porch. A sign reads: "Mansion House." The buildings to the right have signs that read: "Bishop & Sedgwick" "A.C. Smith" "E.D. McNeil" "Litchfield Enquirer." Merchandise is displayed on the porches. One store has skylights, the other has a flagpole. The building at the far right with Ionic columns and a square tower may be the courthouse. The frame building to the left of the hotel has a sign that reads: "Boot & Shoe Store." A striped pole on the corner may indicate a barbershop. Two horse-drawn carriages are at the right. A street light is at the left. A tall flagpole in the right foreground stands on a grassy lawn surrounded by rail fences and young trees. The lake in the right background is probably Bantam Lake. Inscribed on back: "Litchfield."<br>
