Description	Large three-story stone building with arched entrance and a round tower at the north corner. In voussoirs of the entrance arch are the words "Memorial Hall."A granite plaque on the south side of the entrance reads: "Soldiers Memorial Hall, built by Charles E. Chaffee and presented by him to J. H. Converse Post, No. 67 G.A.R...in memory of those who went from Windsor Locks and lost their lives in the service of Our Country in the late Civil War." A monument on the lawn is dedicated to those who served in World War I and II. A brass cannon rests on the lawn in front of the corner tower.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Memorial Hall was erected in 1891 to serve as a meeting place and memorial for Civil War veterans. After World War II, the use of the building was open to all veterans' organizations.
