Description	Banquet of the Jibboom Club, No. 1, 86 State Street, New London, February 21,1953. The figurehead of the whaleship Julius Caesar is visible at far right. A ship model can be seen to the left of the figurehead. Photographs and other framed documents are visible hanging on the walls. The men sit at two tables.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Of some relation to Ernest F. Gates, New London letter carrier involved in the Jibboom Club, a social organization for seamen founded by whaling captains in the 1870s, reorganized in 1891 and dissolved in 1959. Members identified on album page: John Davvan, Church, Trendall, Linden, Pearson, Parsons, C. Kessler, Perry, Malloy, Sanford, Finch, Valley, A. Kessler, Scanlon, Jennings, Watt, Edwards, Satterly.
