Description	Two men stand in a wharf area looking toward the camera. The man to the left, wearing a visored cap, is Manny Maderia. On the right, wearing a coverall, is Richie Maderia. Stacks of lobster traps can be seen to the right and in the left background. Visible in the center background is a fishing dragger.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Based in Stonington Borough, the Stonington fleet is the only remaining commercial fishing fleet in Connecticut. Fishing has been a mainstay of the community's economy since the eighteenth century. In earlier years, whaling, sealing and cod fishing supported area residents. The present fishing fleet pursues a diversified approach not dependent on a single type of catch. Dated March 1995.
