Description	View looking west on West Main Street. The wood Gilbert Transportation Company building is on the left, next to the trolley/highway bridge. A sign extending over the sidewalk reads: "THE GILBERT/TRANSPORTATION CO. Inc." Utility poles and a wagon can be seen on the south side of the street. Trolley tracks run along the center of the street through the downtown area.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Gilbert Transportation Company was located just south of the drawbridge on the Groton side of the river. Founded by Captain Mark L. Gilbert, the company specialized in repair and rebuilding work and was active from 1906-1909. Financial troubles resulted in the closing of the shipyard in 1909. On reverse is printed: "Offices of Gilbert Trans. Co./Mystic, Conn."
