Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Dated July 1993. Based in Stonington Borough, the Stonington fleet is the only remaining commercial fishing fleet in Connecticut. Fishing has been a mainstay of the community's economy since the eighteenth century. In earlier years, whaling, sealing and cod fishing supported area residents. The present fishing fleet pursues a diversified approach not dependent on a single type of catch. Dated July 1993.
