Description	Brick and stone industrial buildings of the American Thread Company are at the left. The roof of the building in the foreground appears to be under construction. A smokestack is near falls on the Willimantic River at the far left. Railroad cars are on railroad tracks beside the river. Churches, frame houses and commercial buildings line the dirt streets. Some houses have grassy lawns. Laundry hangs from clotheslines behind some houses. The large church with two towers is St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Inscribed on back: "Old Spool Shop / Willimantic, Conn. / Normal School / Destroyed by fire."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>The buildings of the American Thread Company, which manufactured spool cotton and hosiery yarn, were located along Main Street, Willimantic. <br>
