Description	View looking up a tree-lined street identified as State Street, New London. A row of houses can be seen on the right. In the left center background the old courthouse is partially visible.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Handwritten on back: "Part of old Court House in the distance/ Anna G. Ripley" Printed on card at left side: "FROM EDWARD T. AVERY'S PHOTOGRAPH ROOMS" and at right "22 STATE STREET, NEW LONDON, CONNECTICUT." Built in 1784, the County Courthouse, now the New London Superior Courthouse, is one of the oldest in the country still in continuous use. Its original location was in the middle of Huntington Street. It was later moved back to its present location. Albumen prints mounted on yellow card.
