Description	View of the freighter Nameug being launched from Groton Iron Works. View down the framework surrounding the vessel and along the marine railway to the bow. The stern is already in the water. The bottom edge reads: "No. 357 Groton Iron Works. Groton, Conn. July 8, 1919/ Hull 357 Launching.".
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Groton Iron Works had its main yard on the Thames in Groton and a second yard on the site of the former Palmer shipyard in Noank. It built a number of iron and wood-hulled vessels during and after World War I. The Noank yard ceased production in 1919. The Groton yard continued until 1928. Good condition.
