Description	View looking upriver toward the bascule bridge connecting East and West Main Streets and downtown Mystic. The Riverside Block can be seen in the left background. In the right foreground is a boat identified as the dragger Mermaid; "MERMAID" is painted on her stern. Another fishing boat can be seen behind her. Printed at bottom left: "VIEW OF BRIDGE/MYSTIC RIVER/MYSTIC/CONN." Printed in negative at lower right: "20702".
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Message from "Eddie" on reverse, mentions seeing the "Danish training ship" [probably the Joseph Conrad at Mystic Seaport] and "submarine" [probably the Japanese submarine that arrived at Mystic Seaport in 1950] The bascule bridge was built in 1922 replacing a 1904 drawbridge.
