Description	Complex of large frame buildings and a large brick building, some with cupolas. The building in the foreground with two doors and two chimneys is probably the Shaker meeting house. Other large buildings are probably dwelling houses. The buildings in the right background appear to be barns. Inscribed beneath image: "North Family Shakers, Shaker Station, Conn."<br>
Notes	The Shaker village in Enfield was founded in 1817. It was located on Route 220 in the northwest corner of the town. Shaker Station was on the railroad one-half mile west of the Shaker village. In 1915 the property was sold to the State of Connecticut for the Osborn Prison Farm. <br>
