Description	Starboard view of the lobster boat Lindy, decorated with flags and pennants for the Blessing of the Fleet. She is at dock along the Stonington Borough waterfont, in the area commonly known as Fishermen's Dock. A number of people can be seen on board. Buildings in the waterfront area are visible in the background.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Based in Stonington Borough, the Stonington fleet is the only remaining commercial fishing fleet in Connecticut. Fishing has been a mainstay of the community's economy since the eighteenth century. In earlier years, whaling, sealing and cod fishing supported area residents. The present fishing fleet pursues a diversified approach not dependent on a single type of catch. The Blessing of the Fleet takes place annually. Dated August 1995.
