Description	View of Huntington Street, New London. Handwritten on back "M.A. Ripley Jan 14, 1885. Old Court House in foreground, Cath. Cathedral in distance" and "Huntington St. looking South from State." The "cathedral" identified is St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, dedicated in 1876.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Built in 1784, the County Courthouse, now the New London Superior Courthouse, is one of the oldest in the country still in continuous use. Its original location was in the middle of Huntington Street. It was later moved back to its present location. The Catholic congregation had occupied two earlier buildings in New London before constructing this new, larger place of worship. Albumen prints on yellow card.
