Description	View looking northwest toward Greenmanville Avenue and the Mystic River. A mill house can be seen on the left. Mystic Twine Company is visible in the center. The west (Groton) side of the river can be seen in the background. A stone wall is visible in the foreground.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. The area along the Mystic River on the Stonington side north of downtown Mystic was known as Greenmanville. The Greenman brothers lived and had their shipyard and mill in this area in the nineteenth century. Taken from the approximate location of present Mystic Seaport maintenance building Mystic Twine Co. (1883-1896) was just north of Greenmanville and south of Elm Grove cemetary. Fishing line and twine were manufactured there. Photograph in album, probably by Everett A. Scholfield, a professional photographer who worked primarily in Mystic and New London from 1865-1913.
