Description	A man stands in front of a barn, possibly the Thomas Greenman barn, holding the bridle of a horse seen in side view. The barn is sided with vertical planks and has dark-painted trim. The man is in shirtsleeves and wears suspenders and a cap with brim.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. The area along the Mystic River on the Stonington side north of downtown Mystic was known as Greenmanville. The Greenman brothers lived and had their shipyard and mill in this area in the nineteenth century. Their houses face Greenmanville Avenue, and are now part of Mystic Seaport. Photograph in album, probably by Everett A. Scholfield, a professional photographer who worked primarily in Mystic and New London from 1865-1913.
