Description	A large oak tree is in a grassy lawn in front of a house with a pediment supported by columns or pilasters. A picket fence is in front of the tree. A gate with a lantern above two Doric columns is at the right. Other trees line a drive bordered by fences. In the foreground and drastically out-of-scale are a stagecoach drawn by two horses and two men, one with a pack and one with a cane. Inscribed beneath image: "A view of the Charter Oak. / and S. Bulkley Esqrs. Mansion at Hrtford Con.t. 1834."<br>
Notes	Probably the work of an amateur artist. <br>S. Bulkley is probably Stephen Bulkley, who resided on Charter Street. <br>
