Description	Interior of the heliometer house, a wooden structure with a canvas and lattice top. A man stands on wooden steps looking through a telescope mounted on a wooden base. He has a beard and mustache and wears eyeglasses, a suit, overcoat and cap. A second man, similarly dressed, stands on a ladder looking at a book. A third man holds a cord, apparently in order to adjust the opening in the roof. A fourth man writes notes. An umbrella leans against the back wall. Papers and what appears to be a lens are on the base of the telescope. Inscribed in block, lower right: "Measurements by the heliometer."<br>
