Description	A man is using a horse-drawn plow, probably in the Mystic area. What appears to be a river is visible in the background. A chicken can be seen to the left of the horse.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. This 'springtime plowing' scene is a subject of several Mystic area photographers, such as George Tingley and Edward. H. Newbury. Though the photographer of the Grinnell Collection photographs is not known, G. Victor Grinnell was a friend of Tingley's and also of Everett A. Scholfield, another regional professional photographer. There is also a connection with amateur photographer Edward Newbury, who took pictures of Isabel Grinnell at play and pastoral scenes similar to some in the Grinnell Collection.
