Description	View of the Stonington waterfront with fishing smacks at dock. A structure with the word "FISH" painted on the side can be seen to the right. Printed in red upper right "Fishing Smacks at dock, Stonington, Conn."
Notes	The smack was a fishing vessel that often had an water-filled well for keeping live catch.Those built in the southeastern Connecticut area had distinctive features and were referred to as "Connecticut" and later, "Noank" smacks. Printed on back: "Pub. by G A. Hyde Stonington, Conn. No. 972 Made in Germany" Postmarked March 8, 1909. From the collection of Wilma D. Fowler.
