Description	View looking down the Mystic river from downtown Mystic. A number of vessels can be seen on both the left (Stonington) and right (Groton) riverfronts, including tugboats and menhaden steamers. The Gilbert Transportation Company wharf is visible on the right. Farther down river on the Groton side is the brick powerhouse of the Groton and Stonington Street Railway company. Printed in negative at bottom right: "Mystic River,/Mystic, Conn."
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Gilbert Transportation Company was located just south of the drawbridge on the Groton side of the river. Founded by Captain Mark L. Gilbert, the company specialized in repair and rebuilding work and was active from 1906-1909. Financial troubles resulted in the closing of the shipyard in 1909. Image has fold lines along bottom third.
