Description	Large two story commercial building with a sign reading: "S. CHIPMAN & CO./WHOLESALE OYSTER DEALERS". The gable end of the long structure faces a street on which wheel tracks are visible. Posed people, including a young boy, face the camera. A horse and wagon loaded with barrels can be seen next to the stairway. Sign to the right reads: "COVE AND NATIVE OYSTERS". What appears to be a railroad trestle can be seen in the far right background. Centered below the image is printed: "S. CHIPMAN & CO.,/Planters and Wholesale Dealers in/HARBOR, NATIVE, COVE AND OTHER OYSTERS,/NORTH FRONT STREET, near Grand, FAIR HAVEN, CONN./P. O. BOX, 449."
