Description	Group portrait of thirty-six Mianus Motor Works employees. The men pose in front of the doorway of what appears to be a metal-sided industrial building. The second man from the right in the second row, wearing a dark suit and white shirt, is identified as Everett Minor Purdy (1882-1945).
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Mounted on card, 10 x 12 in.; embossed on card lower right: "THE Ideal STUDIO/ 45 PARK ROW/ STAMFORD, CT". Mianus Motor Works, Mianus, manufactured gasoline engines for boats, specializing in fitting auxiliary motors to yachts, but also supplying engines for working boats. The company is listed as located in Stamford from 1911 on. In 1919 it became the Mianus Diesel Engine Co., manufacturing diesel engines for various types of vessels. The factory location was then 39 McGee Avenue, Stamford.
