Description	View of a substantial three story building with wings on either side and a central clock tower, identified as Sheffield Hall, Yale University.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Albumen print, 6 x 4 in. mounted on white card. Drymounted to oaktag. South Sheffield Hall was built in the Federal style as a hotel in 1814 but ended up housing programs of the Yale Scientific School (later Sheffield Scientific School), undergoing a series of expansions in the following decades. The clock tower, added as part of an 1865 renovation, housed a revolving turret with an equatorial telescope. The building was demolished in 1931; the clock, on permanent loan from Yale University to Mystic Seaport, was installed in the Greenmanville Seventh-Day Baptist Church on the museum grounds.
