Description	Three men reading newspapers on the Mystic River bridge, looking west toward the Groton side. "Morning After Election" 1896. The "WALK YOUR HORSES" sign on the Mystic River Bridge is visible behind the group, and in the foreground, a broom rests against the fence separating the roadway from the sidewalk. In the background, a wagon is moving away from the camera toward West Main Street. Visible beyond the bridge the Riverside Block and Central Hall.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Edward H. Newbury was a Mystic businessman and amateur photographer. William McKinley (Republican) defeated William Jennings Bryan in the 1896 presidential election.
