Description	Girl's dress of white cotton with pink paisley print has a round neckline edged with coarse thread-covered scallops. The dress front falls straight from the shoulder to the hem, while the back of the skirt is gathered across the waistline and the bodice back is gathered at the center. The flared sleeves are gathered at the shoulder, and the sleeve openings are edged with the same coarse scalloping as the neckline.<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger.<br>Rose Churchill was born in New Britain and as a young woman studied art in various art schools throughout New England, including the school of Miss Amy Sacker in Boston. She was active throughout her life as a watercolor painter, and was one of the founders of the Connecticut Watercolor Society. During the last forty years of her life, she lived in Farmington. She never married. She died in 1973.<br>Gift of John G. T. Slater and Shirley Slater Crosman.<br>
