Description	Crew of an oyster boat can be seen standing alongside and on a boat at what appears to be an ice-covered dock, probably at City Point, New Haven. Handwriting on the back and front identify some of the seven crew members as: Capt. John McNeil on deck in sweater, Charley Stele at far left, George W. Cruise in center, Mose Price far right on dock. The crewman in front of the boat on the right is possibly African-American.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Stain at bottom. Approximate date is based on dating of related photographs. On one related photograph the man standing in front of the boat on the right is identified as Mose Price. Oystering was an important Connecticut industry in the 19th and 20th centuries. New Haven and South Norwalk were among the centers of local and regional cultivation and harvesting. The peak period was 1885-1910.
