Greenman
brothers
lived
and had their
shipyard
and
mill
(Greenmanville
Manufacturing
Company

Manufacturing
Company)
in this
area
in the
nineteenth
century
. There were a
number
of
houses
in
Greenmanville
for
mill
workers
,
including
employees
of
Rossie
Velvet
Mill
,
which
launched
operations
in
1898
.
