Description	Baseball uniform consisting of a shirt, pants, and a pair of half-stockings. The shirt and pants are cream-colored wool. The collarless short-sleeved shirt has "SAVITT GEMS" in dark blue wool appliqued across the chest, and "6" appliqued at the center back. The pants are below-knee length and close at center front with a button fly. The side seams are decorated with the narrow blue braid. The half-stockings are knitted in bands of blue and white and are footless, with only a loop through which to insert the foot.<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger.<br>This uniform was donated to the Connecticut Historical Society by William Myron Savitt (1901-1995). Bill Savitt, a Hartford jewelry store owner, and his brother Max Savitt, were co-owners of the semi-pro baseball team, the Savitt Gems, from the mid 1930s through the late 1940s.<br>Gift of William Savitt.<br>
