Description	Two views of an engine manufactured by the Mianus Machine Works company, with printed captions. The upper caption reads "PORT OR CARBURETOR SIDE/ Model #44, Mianus Gasoline Engine/ 4 Cycle-Marine, 4" Bore x 5" Stroke". The lower caption reads "STARBOARD OR MAGNETO SIDE/ Model #44, Mianus Gasoline Engine/ 4 Cycle-Marine, 4" Bore x 5" Stroke".
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Mianus Diesel Engine Co., 39 McGee Avenue, Stamford, succeeded the earlier Mianus Motor Works in 1919. Mianus Motor Works manufactured gasoline engines for boats, specializing in fitting auxiliary motors to yachts, but also supplying engines for working boats. The company is listed as located in Stamford from 1911 on. In 1919 it became the Mianus Diesel Engine Co., manufacturing diesel engines for various types of vessels.
