To order image reproductions or obtain permission to use an image,
first find the images you want to order or use. You will need to make note of the copyright holder/organization that owns the image. For most, the holding institution is identified prominently in the colored ID band below each image. For some, you will need to check the information in the record--in the sections labeled "Source" and "Rights". The other piece of information you need to make note of is the unique identifier for each image. For some images, there will be a Photo CD number and File Name found directly beneath each image. For example, Photo CD: 2801 File: img0034.pcd. For others, the information will be found in the image record, in the section labeled "Identifier".
You will need to
contact each copyright holder organization separately for the images they own.
