An easy way to find women employed in some occupations is:
Go to “Browse by Subject.”
Go to “Women”
You will find “Women food service employees, Women musicians, Women textile workers, Women tobacco workers, etc.”
Or try a keyword search:
“woman OR women + [another term]”
For the other term, you might try names of occupations or businesses, such as nurses, secretaries, telephone operators, actresses, bank tellers or nursing, insurance, banking, etc.

To find women of a specific ethnic origin, try searching for:
“African-American women”
“Irish-American women”
